I have really liked this pattern since I was a child and want to make Sunbonnet Sue for a granddaughter and Overall Sam for a grandson. A new baby is on the way and I am crocheting a blanket, jacket, cap and matching booties. Also an antique type cotton dress with hand embroidery, etc. with a slip. Long enough to come to her feet. I have a strip quilt started for my 12 year old granddaugher ( she picked it out) I first learned this method from my grandmother when I was 8 and helped make one. My oldest granddaughter has a purple bedroom so I made a grandmother's flower garden with lots of tones of purple and with a darker purple background - it is ready to quilt but I was told she is changing the color of her room. Guess I will start over or finish it and she can se it under her bedspread. I will have 10 grandchildren with the one due December 1st so I will be busy quilting for then for a long time. I have lupus, gout, etc and spinal and nerve damage so I am slow now but I am determined they will each have a quilt from "Meme" Also I have 6 children counting my 2 step daughters and they of course want a quilt. I love quilting, I do some by hand and some by machine but I always hand quilt. I may have to learn to do machine quilting for this many quilts. Ha! I love handwork, I love my family dearly and with the Lord's help all will get done. Hope everyone has a wonderful quilting day? Georgia
